BREAKING NEWS Westlake High School math teacher Ken Amann has been found dead in the D.A.R.E Office in the Westlake High School basement. The 49 year old math teacher was found by Media Arts teacher Claudia Abate on the morning of May 21st at 6:30 am. The F.B.I. suspects the murder took place sometime between Friday evening May 18 and Monday morning May 21. Report by Tom Rubino '19.

The F.B.I. suspects Ken Amann was murdered by one of his co-workers. There appears to have been a struggle between Mr. Amann and his attacker. According to F.B.I. agent James Sirico Amann died as a result of blunt force trauma to the left side of his head. His body was cold when found which indicates that he was murdered a few days before he was found. Report by Sean Martin '19

More information on the murder of Westlake High School teacher Ken Amann has emerged. F.B.I. agent Riley Neglia indicated that the main murder suspect was Elizabeth Melito, Westlake High School Chorus teacher. Evidenced by fingerprints found on the baseball bat, soil found was from the town she lived in and her bank statements indicated she and Amman had a connection through the Tinsley Oil Field corporation. The FBI issued warrants for Justin Dupree, Brian McClintock, Elizabeth Melito, Sarah McFadden and Schuyler Smith. Through a series of interviews and Forensic investigations the FBI put together enough evidence to arrest Melito Wednesday June 6 for the murder of Ken Amann. Report by Sydney Roell '19.
