Writing The News
The main questions any news story should answer are : who, what, when, why, how and so what? Reporters first need to identify the Focus of a story, gather information to make the viewer see, and write a compelling story to make the viewer care. All news stories have a FOCUS and elaborate on that central idea. The rest of the story contains information, visuals, quotes, and facts to support main focus.

Dean Kapica '19 reporting on the October 6th, the former lightweight Champion Conor Mcgregor fought Khabib Nurmagomedov after a heated 2 year rivalry. McGregor’s showdown with Nurmagomedov, has been nearly two years in the making, a throwback to the striker versus grappler match-ups of the early days of mixed martial arts.

Miguel Catarino '19 reporting on Bill Cosby - Known as “America’s Dad” was recently arrested for assaulting Andrea Constand. Cosby has been sentenced for 3 to 10 years in a maximum security prison. A fine of $25,000 plus the costs of prosecution has been set.

Ryan Donnery '19. Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court nominee was accused of assaulting Julie Swetnick and Christine Blasey Ford 35 years ago in High School and his first year at Yale University in 1983-84. This became a very important topic when the senators were looking through his nomination.

Alice Warford '20. In the beginning of October spirit week was upon us and the countdown for the culminating football game against the Bronxville Broncos on October 6th was already underway. Last week, we showed our spirit by wearing comfy pajamas to class, dressing in red, white, and blue for USA day, sporting camo gear for service day, and showing class pride by wearing our class themed picks.
